Paid $80 for an online course on pricing and it saved me from a $300 mistake
I bought a guide about setting rates for creative work last month and it helped me spot a lowball offer for a brochure design. The client wanted $150 for something I now know is worth $450. Has anyone else had a cheap resource pay off way more than the cost?

Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't call a single bad deal a "mistake" that big. Idk, learning to say no is free, you know? A $450 brochure sounds high unless it's super complex or has a ton of revisions baked in. I've definitely overpaid for advice that didn't really apply to my specific situation. Not saying the course was worthless but sometimes people get a little dramatic about these things.

Wait, $450 for a brochure? That's more than I paid for my last laptop. Guess I've been seriously undervaluing my design work this whole time.
