Had to choose between two freelancing platforms. Picked the wrong one and lost a month of work.

Signed up for FreelancerHub and Upwork at the same time. Went with FreelancerHub because it had a lower fee. Big mistake. Got zero leads in 4 weeks. Upwork got me a $500 gig in my first week. Should have just paid the higher fee. Has anyone else picked a platform based on cost and regretted it?

I once picked a platform because it had a free trial and learned the hard way why nothing good is free.

OH MAN, this reminds me of my friend Carla. She signed up for one of those "7 day free trial" meal kit services and forgot to cancel. She ended up paying for like three overpriced boxes of wilted kale and sad chicken that she didn't even want. The worst part was they auto-renewed for a whole MONTH before she checked her bank statement. She still gets mad about it whenever we talk about food delivery stuff. I swear these companies COUNT on you forgetting.
