Just realized hourly vs flat rate is a trap either way
Started a web dev job 3 years ago for a local bakery in Portland. Quoted them $800 flat for a site rebuild, took me 30 hours. Last month I billed a similar job at $50 an hour and the client kept asking for revisions for 2 weeks straight. Neither system seems fair for both sides. Which do you lean towards and why?

Sounds like you either work cheap or get nickel and dimed, pick your poison.

Guess my wallet's been hitting the gym, it's always getting nickel and dimed. I just nod and smile while my bank account silently judges my life choices. You ever feel like you're paying for the privilege of working?

Read somewhere that fixed bids reward speed but hourly punishes efficiency, guess you just can't win.
