Swapped my old metal tool chest for a pegboard wall, and wow what a difference

For years I had this big rolling tool chest in my garage shop, but I was always digging through drawers to find a wrench or a screwdriver. Last month I finally took it out and put up a pegboard wall with those little hooks and bins. Now I can see every single tool at a glance, and I grab what I need in like 5 seconds instead of a minute. The whole setup cost me about $80 and took an afternoon to install. Has anyone else made the switch from a toolbox to a pegboard or something similar?

@morganl71 nailed it, that's exactly how I felt too. I did the same thing last spring and it's crazy how much faster I can grab tools now without bending down and digging through piles of junk.

Kinda went the opposite way and bought a rolling cart on sale for $50, works fine.

Works fine" is kinda the key difference though... rolling carts are okay but you still gotta bend and dig. With the pegboard everything is right there on the wall, no searching at all. I made the switch a couple years back and honestly I'd never go back to drawers again.
