That time a fellow freelancer critiqued my monitor setup with a laser pointer

So I'm at this co-working space in Austin last spring, right? I've got my dual monitors angled like a V, and this guy walks over, pulls out a literal laser pointer, and starts tracing the bezel gap between them. He says 'you're losing 3 inches of visual flow here, buddy' like he's giving a TED talk. I laughed it off, but then I actually moved them closer together and stacked one on a riser, and my neck pain dropped within 2 days. Has anyone else had a random stranger completely rework your gear with a wild suggestion that actually worked?

Man people just don't notice their own bad habits until someone calls it out.

Maybe it's just me but stacking a second monitor literally changed my life too. I had no idea how much I was craning my neck until I couldn't anymore.

Have you ever had a random suggestion fix a problem you didn't even know you had? I used to think monitor stacking was just for looks until @casey268 pointed out the neck strain thing. Now my second screen sits up higher and my shoulders actually feel relaxed.
