Changed my mind about Upwork after a friend's advice

My buddy Mark told me to stop bidding on cheap $50 jobs and go for $500+ projects instead. I thought he was crazy until I landed a $600 data entry gig last week that took the same effort. Anyone else get pushed to raise their rates and see better clients?

Mark was spot on (seriously, good on him for pushing you). I had a similar moment a while back and @finleym37 is totally right about clients being way less picky when they pay more. It's like a cheat code for better freelancing.

Mark had the right idea there. Higher paying jobs usually mean clients who respect your time and don't nitpick every little thing. Once you get past that initial fear of raising your rates, the whole freelancing game changes for the better.
