Took me 4 HOURS to figure out why my Upwork proposal links were broken

Turns out I was copying the tracking link instead of the actual project link, and I wasted a whole afternoon refreshing the page over and over. Has anyone else spent way too long on something this dumb?

My buddy Josh once spent 3 hours troubleshooting a site issue only to realize he forgot to hit "publish" after editing. He was swearing at his computer for nothing.

Man, three hours? That's rough but come on. It's not like he was performing surgery or defusing a bomb. He just forgot to click a button. @finleym37 I gotta side with you on this one though, the preview tab trap is way more embarrassing. At least Josh was working on the right version of the site. You were editing a ghost page that didn't even exist. That's a whole different level of wasted time. People act like forgetting to publish is some epic tragedy but it's really just a Tuesday mistake.

Oh wow, the forgot to hit publish thing hits close to home. I once spent a whole afternoon trying to figure out why my website changes weren't showing up. Customer was getting impatient, I was getting mad, the whole thing. Turns out I had the preview tab open and was editing a version that wasn't even saved. Felt like a real genius that day. At least Josh only lost 3 hours, not his dignity completely.
