Tried to make extra cash tutoring in the park, but the HOA said no way.

Man, what was their reason for saying no? I mean sometimes HOAs have rules about business in common areas. Might just be a noise or liability thing but it's still annoying.

Question if the insurance excuse is really that scary. Most places have those rules just to avoid extra hassle, not from real danger. They probably use liability as a easy way to say no to anything new. Your friend might have sorted it with a simple waiver or something.

Seriously, I used to think HOAs were just being difficult about that stuff too. But my friend got in trouble for her side hustle using the clubhouse, and the reason was legit scary. They said their insurance wouldn't cover a business accident there, so one slip and she could've been sued for everything. I mean, it's still super annoying, but idk, it changed how I see those random rules.
