My $450 mistake with a fancy scheduling app

Bought that trending calendar tool during a slow month thinking it would magically book me more work, but I ended up spending more time tweaking settings than actually finding jobs. Anyone else fall for the 'productivity will fix everything' trap when things get quiet?

Totally been there, it's a bummer when you drop good money on something that promises to fix everything and just adds more stress. I think we've all bought into that idea that the right tool will somehow do the work for us, but it never really works out that way. The real hustle of actually finding jobs and talking to people is still the only thing that seems to matter in the end. Hope you can get most of your money back or at least put it to use in a simpler way that doesn't eat up all your time.

Actually the paid apps can save you a ton of time if you pick the right one and learn how to use it properly. The free tools are usually clunky and outdated, but the good paid ones scrape boards way faster than you can manually refresh pages. You can filter out the junk listings instantly and apply with one click, leaving you more time for the real talking part of the job hunt.

Why do we keep paying apps to give us more work?
