Stop pitching new clients during slow season its a trap

I spent 3 weeks last January cold emailing 50 people and got zero replies because everyone else is doing the same thing. Focus on your current clients instead ask them for referrals or extra work that actually got me $800 in 2 weeks has anyone else noticed this pattern?

C'mon man, 50 is way too many for cold emails without some serious warmup. @karenc20 is right about targeting. I used to send 30-40 a week and got nothing. Then I cut it to 10 people I actually researched, spent 5 minutes each on a personalized line, and got 3 replies. Quality over quantity every time. You're just burning leads and your own time with that shotgun approach.

Cold emailing in slow season works fine if your list is actually targeted - blasting 50 random people is just spam. A slow market means less noise from bigger competitors, so a smart, short email to the right 10 people can actually get replies.
