Pro tip: I read a post about separating business and personal cards and ignored it for 2 years
I was scrolling through some forum last week and saw someone mention how they mix business and personal expenses in one account and then spend hours sorting it out at tax time. That was literally me for the last 2 years. I finally opened a separate checking account for my freelance income last Monday. Took me maybe 30 minutes online. Already made my quarterly estimated payment from it and it felt way cleaner. Has anyone else wished they did this sooner?

Lucky you only wasted 2 years, I did 4 before I got my act together. Now it's like I'm a REAL adult with my finances or something.

Nobody's asked about the hidden fees in the recovery process? Loan terms change, credit scores shift, and sometimes they sneak in origination fees. @mitchell.avery, did you check for that when you restarted? I saw a friend pay an extra 20 bucks a month just because he missed a clause about automatic payments.
