The client who told me my voice notes were too long
Had a client last month say my daily voice updates were 'exhausting to listen to' - ouch. She wanted bullet points in Slack instead, max 3 lines each. Changed that up and now I spend way less time recording and re-recording stuff when I'm sick. Anyone else get feedback that stung at first but ended up saving them energy on rough days?

Saw a piece the other day about how voice notes can feel like homework for clients who just want quick info. Makes sense honestly. That initial sting is rough but sounds like you ended up with a win. Your energy is worth saving for the sick days when you really need it. Bullet points are a solid compromise that still keeps things clear without draining you.

@kai_ramirez38 my voice notes sound like I'm gargling marbles so bullet points are a mercy honestly.

Yeah I was totally in the camp of "voice notes are fine, just listen when you have a sec" until I had a client last month who literally said "I'd rather get three bullet points than a three minute recording." And honestly? They were right. It was a wake up call. The homework thing really clicked for me because you can't quickly scan a voice note to find the one thing you need, you have to sit through the whole thing. Plus bullet points force me to actually organize my thoughts instead of just rambling into my phone.
