That stackable storage bin set I bought at Target collapsed under 40 pounds of books last night

I loaded up three of those clear plastic bins from the home organization aisle with some old textbooks, and the bottom one just gave out around 10 PM. Anyone else had issues with these bins not holding up like they advertise?

Oh man, that's rough. I tried doing the same thing with my old college textbooks and ended up with a plastic avalanche in my living room. Guess my hopes of pretending to be organized were as flimsy as those bins. Maybe they're just for like, scarves and socks, not the weight of my failed academic dreams. Still, you'd think they'd hold up better than a wet paper bag for 40 bucks.

My buddy Rick bought four of those for his garage last month, and two of them split right down the side the first time he stacked them. Honestly @danielowens, for 40 bucks you'd think they'd at least survive one season of moving stuff around.

Honestly I used to be one of those people who thought "a bin's a bin, what's the big deal?" but hearing stuff like this makes me reconsider. For 40 bucks you'd think they'd at least not fall apart the first time you actually use them.

Oh come on, it's just plastic bins not a life insurance policy.
