Switched to a $20 headlamp after a gig in a dark basement in Portland

I was setting up a small art show in a basement with terrible lighting near Hawthorne Street. A buddy from another gig handed me his headlamp and I couldn't believe how much easier it made things. Why was I holding a flashlight in my teeth all those years? Anyone else stubbornly stick with a tool way longer than they should?

Ha, right? Total game changer (though I kept losing the cheap ones in my toolbox). Once you get a decent one with a bright enough beam and a tilt feature, you never go back to regular flashlights. It's one of those things you don't think you need until you actually use it. Hands-free is just better for any real task.

Wait, you've been using cheap ones this whole time? Oh man, you gotta upgrade to something with real brightness. Tilt feature changed everything for me, I can aim it exactly where I need without craning my neck. It's like having a third hand, honestly. Hands free is the only way once you've tried it.
