TIL my 5 minute email intro cost me a $2k contract
I spent 6 months sending short catch-all intros to designers and got zero replies. Then a senior dev replied with a screenshot of my email saying he couldn't tell what I actually wanted. Anyone else ever realize they were being too vague this whole time?
That reminds me of the time I sent out property brochures with just a photo and price for months. A buyer finally called and said they had no clue about the square footage or location. Realized I was leaving out the basic info people actually needed to make a decision. Sometimes less is not more.
