Pro tip: Ditching my mechanical keyboard fixed my RSI pain

I used a Cherry MX Blue keyboard for 2 years because I thought the clicky sound meant it was 'premium.' Switched to a cheap $25 Logitech membrane board after my wrist started hurting and the pain went away in a week. Anyone else find that 'gamer' gear made their typing issues worse?

Three years I spent on a Razer Green switch board thinking the louder I clacked the more productive I was. Turns out my wrists were just crying for help with every angry-sounding keystroke. I finally swapped to a squishy old Dell membrane keyboard I found in storage and my typing feels like I'm petting a cat instead of fighting a war. My coworkers probably think I lost my edge but my elbows sure don't mind.

The Dell membrane boards are honestly underrated, I found one at a thrift store and my wrists have never been happier lol.

Yeah the_hayden called it, cheap membrane boards just work. Guess all that 'premium' feel was just marketing hype.
