Why does nobody talk about using voice typing for code comments?
I spent 2 hours writing comments for a big pull request last week, then tried dictating them with Windows speech recognition. It was actually FASTER than typing and my hands didn't cramp up. Has anyone else tried this approach for documentation?

Honestly I used to think voice typing was just for people who couldn't type fast but then I tried it for some long comments on a project and yeah it totally changed my mind. My hands felt way less tired after.

And isn't voice typing one of those things that sounds like a gimmick until your hands actually hurt? I tried it for my last big code review comments and nobody could even tell the difference in tone or style. Windows speech recognition messes up technical terms sometimes but for plain English documentation it works way better than you'd think. The real win here is saving your wrists from all that repetitive strain, that's the part people should talk about more.

Shows how we overlook simple tools that make life easier until we actually try them out.
