A $3 pack of binder clips fixed my invoice tracking issue

I kept losing track of invoices in my email and ended up with a $450 payment that was 2 months late last spring. So I clipped a physical checklist to my monitor with binder clips and checked off each step when I sent a bill or got paid. Has anyone else tried going back to paper for something digital just to make it stick?

Yeah that's not really going digital, it's just visual.

Yeah I did the same thing with passwords actually, wrote them all down in a notebook because I kept forgetting which login went where. Did the paper trick finally get you to stop missing payments or is it more of a reminder thing?

The notebook's been more of a visual check than a full solution, actually. I still set calendar reminders for each due date because the paper itself just sits there looking pretty. It stops me from losing the login info, but the forgetting is more of a brain problem than a paper one.
