My neighbor told me she found 3 steady clients just by commenting on LinkedIn posts for 10 minutes a day
She said she never sends DMs or pitches, just adds useful thoughts to other people's threads, and it made me wonder how many hours I've wasted cold emailing when I could be doing that instead.

Oh totally, the "just adding useful thoughts" thing is so real. I started doing that on a few posts in my niche last month and it got me two people reaching out to me directly for a quick project. Way less awkward than cold emailing honestly.

Yeah it really is way less awkward. What I found helps is picking posts that are already getting replies but not super crowded where your comment gets buried. You gotta add something real though, not just "great post" stuff. I usually wait until someone asks a question in the thread and then drop a quick fix or a resource I used. That way it feels natural like you were just trying to help not pitch yourself. It takes a little patience but the leads that come from it are way warmer than cold outreach.
