That one Thursday in July when three clients all paid at once
I had a week last summer where nothing was happening for about two months straight. Checked my bank account on a Thursday and it was down to like $40. I was about to call my dad and ask for a loan which I haven't done since I was 22. Then three separate checks showed up in the mail that same day. One was from a concrete job I did back in April that the guy kept dodging me on. Another was a retainer from a small business owner who owed me for six months. The third was just a random overpayment from a city project I forgot about. Total was $1,860 and it hit my account within four hours of each other. Has anyone else had a dry spell break all at once like that or was that just a weird fluke?

The universe definitely has a sense of humor about it. I got chills reading that part about "how low my bank account could go" because that's exactly how it feels when you're staring at pennies. It's like the money knows when you're about to hit rock bottom and then it just shows up all at once. That peanut butter sandwich thing is too real too, I've been there more times than I want to admit. The weird part is why it all piles up on one day instead of spreading out when you actually need it.

Ngl the universe has a sick sense of humor with that timing. Had a similar thing happen during my freelancing days where I was literally eating peanut butter sandwiches for two weeks straight then got three checks in one mailbox trip. It's like the money gods were just waiting to see how low my bank account could go before they finally showed up. Your dad dodged a bullet though $1,860 would've been a real awkward phone call to make.
