Getting some distance actually makes your brain work differently. Most people think they need to grind harder when really they just need to step back and let things come to them.

Yeah for real, I've noticed that happens all the time with creative stuff or even just figuring out a problem at work. Like when you stare at something forever and keep making it worse, then you go take a shower or walk the dog and the answer just pops into your head. It's like your brain needs to chill out and do its own thing without you forcing it. I think that's why so many people burn out too, they think pushing harder is the only way but really they're just blocking their own flow.

Bro isn't that the truth? The second I stop trying so hard my brain finally decides to cooperate.
