Ngl clients don't actually read invoices, they just want something basic.

I mean, is it really that deep though? Half the time I feel like clients just skim the big number at the bottom and call it a day. I've had people email me asking what a "line item" means when it's literally just the date and a short description of what I did. Not saying you're wrong exactly, but maybe we overthink it more than they do. Like, I once put a tiny typo in an invoice and nobody caught it for three months. So idk, maybe basic is fine if it gets paid.
