Upped my WordPress rate by 40% after adding two sentences to my contract

I used to charge $350 for a basic WordPress setup, then I added a line about 'content migration up to 10 pages included' and another about 'one round of revisions'. That was in June, by August I was at $500 for the same work. Clients actually seemed more confident booking me, like they knew exactly what they were getting. Anyone else find that spelling out small boundaries made your rate jump easier to sell?

It is wild how clear boundaries just make people trust you more instantly.

@zarag17 Do you think that kind of trust comes more from respect or from people feeling relieved you won't waste their time? Boundaries seem to work best when you set them early before anyone gets confused. Guess it's a quick way to filter out who actually pays attention.

WAIT you seriously got a 40% rate increase just by adding TWO sentences to your contract? That's absolutely BONKERS to me because I've been leaving way too much money on the table for YEARS not spelling out the little things. I always figured clients would push back on higher prices but maybe the clarity is what actually makes them feel safe handing over their money.
