Finally caved and bought that $40 standing desk converter I kept seeing ads for

I spent six months telling myself it was just a gimmick for people with more money than sense, especially after my buddy in Austin bought one and stopped using it after a week. Then I pulled a 10 hour editing session last Wednesday and realized my lower back was shot from hunching over the laptop on my kitchen counter. Has anyone else had a cheap tool actually fix a problem you thought was just part of the job?

Whoa wait hold on @johnson.eva just dragged you into some medication thing? I had to read that twice. That's wild. I mean, I get it though, because I was exactly the same way with my desk converter. Thought it was snake oil until my spine felt like it was gonna snap in half. My buddy in Denver swore by his and I was like yeah sure buddy. Then I tried it for an afternoon and couldn't believe how much it helped. It's not a miracle cure or anything, but it took away that sharp pain I used to get after sitting for hours. Sometimes the cheapest fix works better than you expect.

Ha, I think you mean after you got physical therapy, not the new medication.
