Hit 500 followers on my niche blog last Tuesday. Thought it would feel huge, but nope.

I've been writing about fixing old MacBooks for 14 months now. 500 followers was my big goal. Hit it Tuesday night. Sat there staring at the number on my screen. Felt absolutely nothing. No rush, no validation, no fireworks. Just a number. Made me realize I was chasing the wrong thing this whole time. The real win was the random email from a guy in Ohio who fixed his 2012 Pro because of my guide. Anyone else hit a milestone and feel totally flat about it?

Oh man, yes! I got to 1000 subscribers on my YouTube channel last month and I just kind of blinked at it. I thought there would be confetti or something in my brain but it was just a quiet Tuesday night. The real payoff was when a kid told me I helped him fix his bike and he rode it to school for the first time. Those small moments hit way harder than any number. It's weird how we build up these milestones in our heads and then they just feel empty. That email from the Ohio guy sounds like the actual big win.

Started revising one of my guides last night instead of checking my follower count. That email you mentioned? I got one similar from a guy who resurrected his 2009 unibody. He sent me a picture of it working with a cracked screen and all. Felt more real than the milestone. I think I built up 500 in my head as the finish line but turns out the race keeps going. And apparently the prize is just more emails about busted laptops.
