That $100 quick furniture assembly last week cost me $300 in missing tools
Guy swore it would take 20 minutes but the IKEA instructions were in German and his dog ran off with my screwdriver bit, so now I drive 45 minutes back to Home Depot and the whole thing ate my Saturday.

IKEA instructions are actually better in German because the pictograms are clearer. I've assembled 7 of their pieces this year alone and the German ones always have fewer steps mixed up. His dog probably knew you were overpaying for a 20 minute job and tried to slow things down so you could learn something. Losing that Saturday saved you $200 in future assembly fees if you just buy a $12 bit set and do it yourself next time.
