The $50 logo I bought off a student was better than the $500 agency version
Everyone in here talks about how you need to pay up for professional branding, but I had the opposite experience last spring. I needed a simple logo for my dog walking side gig in Austin, and an art student from UT did it for $50 in two days. Meanwhile, a real agency quoted me $500 for a two week turn around and the file formats were a mess to work with. Her design got me more compliments and actual client sign ups than any 'polished' agency work I've seen. Am I the only one who thinks the price tag doesn't always match the quality?

That student artist energy is real. Got my gym's logo from a local community college kid for $40 and it still gets more compliments than the big rebrand I paid 20x more for later. Sometimes fresh talent just nails the vibe better than the corporate process lol.
