Tried using a cardboard box as a makeshift flatbed for an art commission delivery
I strapped a $400 painting to a flattened Amazon box with bungee cords, and it ripped right through the cardboard on the highway near Portland. Now I always spend the extra $15 on a proper plastic tarp and tape.

Yeah "overkill" is exactly what I said right before I watched my painting become a hood ornament for a semi. Stretch wrap might work if you're hauling something light, but my $400 watercolor turned into a $400 sail.

A tarp is way overkill for small deliveries, a cheap roll of stretch wrap works PERFECTLY.

I feel like stretch wrap is honestly better for things that can get scratched or scuffed, not something like a painting that can tear easy. That stuff can also come loose if you hit a bump wrong too lol
