She spent 45 minutes picking apart my package pricing, then booked me for a wedding shoot at half my normal rate because I was too embarrassed to say no, has anyone else let a cheap meeting talk them into a bad deal?

Ha! @mason_murray8 that free engagement session trick is classic, I once traded a discount for a dog photoshoot I never wanted.

Did you end up honoring that half rate or did you talk yourself out of it? I had something similar with a bride who wanted a "quick strategy call" and then tried to negotiate my second shooter rate down. I told her I'd do it at full price but throw in a free engagement session, which felt less awkward than just caving on the number. It worked out because she felt like she got a deal and I didn't set a bad precedent for myself.
