Finally stopped ignoring the squeaky floorboard in my living room

I had this one floorboard near the kitchen that squeaked every time you stepped on it. For like 3 years I just walked around it or turned up the TV. My brother came over last Tuesday and showed me how to fix it with a $7 kit from Ace Hardware. Took maybe 20 minutes total and now the whole room feels quieter. Kinda embarrassed I put up with it that long honestly. Anybody else have a tiny house fix they kept putting off?

You bet I do. That old sticky front door latch I had for years. Every time someone came over I had to warn them to give it a good strong push or pull. Finally got some WD-40 and a screwdriver one Saturday and fixed it in 10 minutes flat. Felt like a real goof for not doing it sooner but hey, that's how these things go sometimes.

Wait, your brother actually CHARGED you for showing you how to fix a squeaky floorboard? That's wild, what did he ask for like 20 bucks? I would've just bought him a beer and called it even.
