Took me 4 tries to find where my basement was leaking from, ended up being a tiny crack behind the drywall
I spent every weekend for three weeks chasing a puddle in my Olympia basement before I finally tore out a 2-foot section of drywall and found a hairline crack in the foundation that was barely visible but let in enough water to soak a bath mat every time it rained has anyone else dealt with a slow leak that drove them crazy to locate?

Tried using a shop vac with a rag over the end to create a seal and sucked water out of the crack as fast as it came in, then dried it with a heat gun and patched it with hydraulic cement from the hardware store. That stopped it cold. Took me about an hour once I found the spot after weeks of hunting it down. Also started checking the downspouts and grading around the house after that, made a big difference in how much water hits the foundation in the first place.
