My website's contact form was sitting in a spam folder for 8 months

Checked my hosting control panel on a hunch last week and found 47 messages from potential clients just sitting there. I switched to a simple mailto link instead. Anyone else found a weird setup issue that was costing them work?

That's a nightmare, plain and simple. 47 messages just sitting there, that's real money walking out the door. I've always been paranoid about form emails, so I set mine up to send me a text alert too. Better to get annoyed by a test message than miss a paying customer.

Man, that's brutal. I had a similar thing happen but with my voicemail - turns out my phone was routing business calls to some old Google Voice number I forgot existed for 6 months.
