Finally ditched my broken office chair for a yoga ball and my back is screaming
After three years of using a thrift store chair with a busted wheel that rolled sideways every time I leaned, I switched to a $20 yoga ball last Tuesday and now I'm wobbling through calls like a confused penguin. Has anyone else tried one of these things and actually stuck with it?

Heard a physical therapist on a podcast say the key is to not sit on it for more than 20 minutes at a time or your core just gives up. Switched my setup so I alternate between a stool and the ball throughout the day. The wobbling does help with lower back tightness but my first week was brutal, especially when I tried to lean forward to type. Now I keep a small pillow nearby to sit on when my hips start complaining.

That 20 minute rule is actually more about hip flexors than your core.

That 20 minute tip usually depends more on how your hips handle the ball than your core giving out. My hips started hurting way before my core ever felt tired on it.
