Walked into Home Depot for a lightbulb and ended up staring at the ergonomic office chairs for 20 minutes

Saw this display model with lumbar support that moves when you lean, and now I'm wondering if my $80 Amazon special from 3 years ago is why my back hurts by 2pm every day, anyone else fall into the rabbit hole of comparing chair specs when you just need a 5 minute fix?

It’s wild how one little trip to the store can turn into realizing you’ve been living with bad stuff for years. Like i bought a cheap fan last summer and it rattles so bad now i just deal with it, same vibe. Bed frame, couch, even my kitchen knives are all from that era of "just needs to work" and now i’m slowly replacing everything. It’s like you blink and your whole daily comfort is built on stuff you never really picked, just grabbed.

Funny how you don't notice until you sit in something good. My whole house is basically a collection of "well it's fine for now" purchases from five years ago that are slowly breaking down. The lamp in my living room flickers every time I turn it on but I just live with it. It's like we all agreed at some point to just tolerate mediocre stuff until the universe forces us to upgrade.
