I finally stopped skipping the recap episodes after a bad rewatch
I used to always skip recaps, thought they were pure filler. Then last Tuesday I was rewatching Steins;Gate with a friend who'd never seen it, and we hit episode 13. I tried to breeze past the recap at the start, but my friend stopped me and pointed out a tiny detail in the flashback that re-framed the whole time loop. That little scene tied back to something from episode 3 that I'd totally forgotten, and it made the payoff hit way harder. Now I actually pay attention to those cold opens, especially for shows with dense plots like that. Has anyone else found a hidden clue in a recap that changed how you watched the rest of the series?
