I finally stopped skipping the filler arcs in One Piece after 500 episodes
I used to always skip filler arcs in anime because I thought they were a waste of time, but my buddy kept insisting the G-8 arc in One Piece was actually good. He made me watch it last week and I was laughing the whole time - it had better pacing than some of the canon stuff lol. Has anyone else given fillers a fair shot and been surprised?

Honestly that G-8 arc really is something special. I was the same way, skipped all fillers for years until a friend finally sat me down for it. @corap61 I used to think all filler was pointless too but this one surprised me. The pacing felt natural and the comedy actually landed without forcing it. It made me wonder what other fillers I missed out on, though I doubt many are as good as that one. Just goes to show that sometimes the non-canon stuff can catch you off guard in the best way.

yo I heard the G-8 arc is legit one of the best filler arcs in any anime, even people who hate filler admit it's fun lmao
