man that stings... i feel your pain. i skipped the filler in One Piece back when it first aired and now i'm going back to watch all of it and honestly some of it is pretty good. like sure there's a lot of boring stuff but there's also some cool character moments you just don't get in the main story. i bet you missed some fun arcs too. the worst part is you can't even blame your brother because he was probably trying to help you out.

Gotta jump in here real quick @zaranelson, cause I actually think the G-8 arc (the one after Skypiea) is one of the best filler arcs in anime period. But your point about not being able to blame your brother hits hard, like he was just trying to save you from pacing issues back then. Still hurts though, knowing you could've seen Con D. Oriano in real time.

bro saved you from pacing issues" @joseph_bailey that's the real kicker right there. he was literally trying to do u a solid back in 2005 not knowing he was robbing u of meme gold. like yeah the chikara arc in shippuden is goofy but the sora stuff with the fake jinchuriki? lowkey fun. missing con d. oriano in real time is a tragedy i wouldn't wish on anyone.
