Update: my buddy swore I should skip filler arcs on my first watch, and now I'm 4 episodes from the end of Bleach and totally lost
He handed me a printed list back in 2019 and said just watch the canon stuff, you'll thank me later. The problem is half the side characters I actually care about only show up in those skipped chunks, so now the final fight feels like it's missing people. Anyone got a good way to loop back and catch the parts I missed without restarting the whole 366 episodes?

Did your buddy's list at least mark which episodes are half canon and half filler? Those mixed ones are usually where the side characters get their moments, so you could just watch those and skip the pure filler stuff.
