A guy in Phoenix watched me pull a fridge and asked why I test the compressor before the relay
I had it backwards for almost 4 years on Whirlpool units. He said to ohm the compressor windings first since a bad relay is a $12 part and a bad compressor is a dead job. I ran it his way on a call in Tempe and found the windings were fine, relay was toast, done in 20 minutes. Now I do it in that order every time but I'm wondering if there are other steps I'm still doing in the wrong sequence, what's your go to order for a no cool call?
