Another washer totaled by a DIY video. When did this become normal?

Tried fixing a leaky faucet after a tutorial and flooded the kitchen. Now I watch three different videos minimum before touching anything, and read the comments to see who else broke their stuff. Found a guy who actually knew plumbing in the comments of a bad video, his advice saved me. @perry.jesse you might check multiple sources before your next bathroom project, the good tips hide in the comment sections. Still call a pro for anything involving major water lines though, learned that the hard way.

The absolute worst. Watched a five minute clip on replacing a shower cartridge, now my sink has a new sympathy leak. Places I never even touched are making noises. It's a real gift.

It's that weird confidence from tutorial videos. Same thing happened when I tried to tune my bike after watching a guide, ended up with two loose wheels and a brake pad in my hand. The more you learn, the more you realize every other part is held together by hope and a single screw. Now I just nod at the problem and call someone who knows what they're doing.
