Had a Tuesday where three fridges all threw the same error code

Last fall I had a Tuesday where three different Samsung fridges in the same neighborhood all showed the same E1 error for the ice maker... never seen a pattern like that before. Turned out a bad batch of water filters from a local supplier was clogging the lines on all of them. Anyone else ever run into something like that where a whole batch of parts caused the same issue in one day?

That sounds like a classic bad batch scenario, and it makes total sense with the water filters. I had a similar thing happen with a batch of ice maker modules a few years back. A whole pallet of them from a certain production run had a tiny solder bridge that caused a specific error code to pop up on every install within the same month. It was a nightmare because we kept swapping parts thinking it was a fluke, but it kept happening until someone at the warehouse checked the lot numbers. The manufacturer eventually did a recall on that run, but only after we flagged it. It's wild how one bad component can travel through a whole supply chain and hit so many units at once.

Right, because nothing says "fun Tuesday" like a fridge rebellion with matching error codes. Guess they were all in on it together.
