I finally saw a stacked washer-dryer unit in a Denver apartment building that made me shake my head

Honestly, they had the dryer vent hose crushed flat behind the unit for what looked like years, and the lint buildup was insane. Tbh I'm surprised it hadn't caught fire yet. Has anyone else had to deal with a landlord who just doesn't care about basic venting safety?

Remember my old place with the dryer vented straight into the crawl space.

Saw one venting into a wall cavity once, just pumping lint and moisture right into the drywall.

That's wild, but honestly a vent into a crawl space like max_schmidt77 mentioned seems way worse to me. All that damp air just sits under the house, it's gotta cause mold and rot down there. At least a wall cavity might dry out a little faster, depending on the insulation. Both are pretty bad ideas though.
