Pro tip: compressor gasket vs liquid thread sealant on a Bosch fridge

Had a Bosch fridge line leak last month in Austin and needed to reseal the compressor fitting. I went back and forth between a proper gasket and just slapping on liquid thread sealant. Ended up going with the gasket because the manual called for it, and it held fine for about 2 weeks, then I heard hissing again. Swapped to liquid sealant and it’s been solid for 10 days now. Took way more time messing with the gasket than it was worth, honestly. Has anyone else had better luck with one over the other on these newer units?
