That "fancy" part is the problem. Did you check the warranty before throwing away the box?

Tossed the box and receipt day one, warranties are a scam anyway.

Tbh @david_palmer makes a solid point. Did you actually register the warranty when you got it or just toss the paperwork assuming it was good?
