Totally agree, those videos make everything look so easy. Watched one on fixing a wobbly ceiling fan and ended up making a weird new noise instead.

My last DIY fix was a cabinet door that still hangs crooked. I get what you mean @robin896, the videos make you feel like you can do anything right up until you actually try it. My confidence is still way higher than my skill level.

Totally feel that. I read something the other day about "DIY Dunning-Kruger effect" where like 70% of people think they're above average at home repairs, which is statistically wild. It explained why my shelves look drunk after I follow a tutorial.
