That repair shop museum in Cleveland had a 1940s wringer washer torn apart on display
I stopped by the little appliance museum near Cleveland last month and they had a 1948 wringer washer cut open so you could see the gear case and the agitator shaft. Spent 20 minutes just looking at how simple the linkage was compared to the sealed units we deal with now. Does anyone else hit up these old exhibits to make sense of the stuff that comes in with no service manual?
