Ever notice how experts love to overcomplicate things?

Totally get where you're coming from, @corap61... I used to feel the same way about experts making things sound harder than they are. Then I realized a lot of that "overcomplication" is just them trying to cover all the weird little exceptions and details they've seen go wrong. Makes you appreciate why simple answers aren't always the right ones.

Used to think experts were just showing off, but @the_leo's comment really flipped a switch for me. Started noticing how many times I'd get a simple answer from someone and then run into some weird edge case that blew everything up. The extra details that felt like overkill actually saved me from making the same mistakes they've already dealt with. Makes a lot more sense now why they spell it all out.
