A park ranger at Mesa Verde told me my trowel work was too fast and I've been digging like a snail ever since
She watched me for like 2 minutes and said I was scraping away stratigraphy before I could even see it. Now I go 1cm at a time with a bamboo stick and honestly I've found way more tiny flakes and bone bits. Anyone else get roasted by a site supervisor and totally change their technique because of it?
