DAE think the 'lost city' hype around LiDAR scans is hiding what the data actually shows?
Everyone on here keeps treating every LiDAR scan as a brand new civilization, but when I pulled the 2021 Caracol dataset and looked at the raw point cloud myself, most of those 'undiscovered structures' were field walls and old logging tracks, and the real finds were 47 small terraces that took a ground survey to confirm.
