I keep seeing people call modern debris "ancient" on social media

Last month someone posted a rusty railroad spike from Ohio and called it a Roman artifact. How do we draw the line between actual archaeology and wishful thinking? Should moderators step in or just let people have their fun?

Gotta disagree a bit, I think a lot of that stuff is just people having fun and getting curious about history, even if it's wrong.

Right @xenam84, but 3 railroad spikes labeled Roman is 2 too many for fun.
